Volunteer with YouthLink

We offer unique opportunities for you to join our efforts to tap the potential of our youth!

Volunteers make an important difference in supporting and motivating the youth taking part in our programs.  Volunteering your time is a great opportunity to join a team, share your own experience and lend a much-needed helping hand. Whether you can offer a couple of hours every week or several days once a year, there are lots of different ways that you can get involved.

Note:   a comprehensive screening process, including a criminal reference check, for potential volunteers is required if you will be working directly with youth.

What Our Volunteers Tell Us...

My experience with the kids in the evening tutoring session has been great! Although the kids need some help focussing, they are always eager to try, and you can tell that they appreciate the tutors being there for them.

I found the students have experienced their share of successes and challenges. As a tutor, I can sense they fully appreciate the help that is offered and they are eager and willing to do what it takes to overcome these challenges.

I have found that volunteering with Pathways to Education is a very challenging and rewarding opportunity. My goal is to become a teacher in Toronto and I feel that working in such an ethnically diverse community and within a program that includes students of varying learning levels has given me valuable insight into what I might expect to come across in future years.

As a Youthlink volunteer you can expect to contribute in a meaningful way and to be taken out of your everyday routine with new people and experiences.
